Correspondence between theory and practice of a Beerkan infiltration experiment

چکیده
The Beerkan infiltration experiment is carried out by inserting the ring a short depth into soil and establishing positive head of water on surface for at least part run. Nevertheless, data are analyzed assuming fully unconfined process (ring insertion depth, d = 0 cm) null ponded (H cm). influence an 2 h sampled every minute was tested in this numerical investigation. Five soils varying from sand to silt loam, three radii (5–15 cm), Beerkan-specific range values both H (between 1 were considered. differences between theoretical (d practical setups varied −10.4 +8.6% mean rate −10.2 +8.3% final cumulative infiltration. These small, they decreased absolute value considering soil-dependent radius. In particular, nearly negligible detected using small coarse-textured large fine-textured soils. coarser soils, did not alter estimated coefficients two-parameter model appreciably with linearization method, because these differed no more than 9.2%. fine could be possible regardless considered setup, or it use cm instead that impeded convincing data. conclusion, good correspondence, many circumstances, reinforced interest simple as means collect field.

Estimation of Soil Hydraulic Properties Curve through Beerkan Infiltration Experiment Algorithms
Nowadays, the Beerkan computational algorithms (BESTslope and BESTsteday) are known as the suitable indirect methods for estimating soil saturated hydraulic conductivity (Ks) and sorptivity (S), as well as the scale parameter (hg) in van Genuchten soil water retention equation through the data collected in the Beerkan infiltration experiment and other required data. The purpose of this study wa...
متن کاملTHEORY, EXPERIMENT AND PRACTICE OF SLAG ATTACK OF REFRACTORIES
Penetration and dissolution mechanisms are reviewed for predominantly single-phase oxide, two phase oxide and oxide-carbon composite refractories by liquid silicate slags. Theoretical models of these processes, as well as static (sessile drop, dipping and crucible) and dynamic (rotating finger and rotary slag) experimental tests, along with their practical limitations are considered. Direct (co...

15 صفحه اولthe relation between bilingualism and translation: a case study of turkish bilingual and persian monolingual translation students
translation studies have become an accepted academic subject and books, journals and doctoral dissertations appear faster than one can read them all (bassnet and lefevere, 1990). but this field also brought with itself so many other issues which needed to be investigated more, in the heart of which, issues like ideology, ethics, culture, bilingualism and multilingualism. it is reported that ove...
